Four days of marriage was apparently enough for Nicolas Cage.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 55-year-old actor has filed for annulment Wednesday from makeup artist Erika Koike. The two reportedly got hitched in Las Vegas on March 23, the same day they were spotted at the Clark County Court House to receive their marriage license. A source told The Daily Mail that Cage "caused a scene" during his initial visit to the court house and appeared to be inebriated.
"They started by filling the application in one of the machines," a witness told the outlet. "The whole time he was yelling, 'She is going to take all my money' and 'her ex is a druggy, her ex is a druggy.' ... The woman only kept saying, 'Baby I am not asking you to do this.'"
Cage will reportedly seek a divorce if the annulment is not granted. It's been reported that Koike has yet to be served. TMZ learned that Cage and Koike fought outside the Bellagio Hotel hours after they wed. Taking a look at the annulment documents, the site found language saying “[Koike] suggested to [Cage] that they should marry, [Cage] reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his actions." Another huge issue was Koike not being clear about “the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person” or her alleged criminal history. The real uppercut to the union cites “such conflict in personalities and dispositions that are so deep as to render the two incompatible in marriage."
The couple were first spotted together back in April 2018 while vacationing in Puerto Rico. They were photographed together about a month later while out in Los Angeles.
This marks Cage's fourth and shortest marriage. He was married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004, and Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016. He and Kim welcomed their first and only child together, Kal-El, in 2005. Cage is also the father to 28-year-old Weston, who was born to Cage's ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton.
