You have to assume that a fan who loved Idris Elba enough to drop over $1100 on an action figure of him would know what the actor looks like. It seems like British manufacturer Emperis is going for that coveted demographic of "people who watched The Wire with their eyes closed" with their just-released Idris Elba doll, though.
The high-priced doll nails the English actor's style, rocking a suit jacket, vest, and jeans with some high-end boots. However, things went left when it came time to craft the actor's head and the bald result looks something like Montell Williams on a trip to Westworld.
Emperis made the doll to celebrate Idris being crowned the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People, which makes it all the more ironic that they seem to have whiffed on molding the actor's face.
