Congratulations to Rashida Jones and Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig! The two reportedly welcomed a baby boy.
But if you're like us, you're probably thinking: Rashida Jones was pregnant?! The answer seems to be yes, Jones pulled a Kylie Jenner and kept her pregnancy a secret from the world. E! News reports she delivered their baby boy, Isaiah Jones Koenig, on Aug. 22 in Los Angeles, making him a first child for both creatives.
Jones and Koenig's dating rumors date back to 2016 but they seemingly made it publicly official when they appeared together at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017. However, neither of them have publicly confirmed their relationship status. But per a 2011 interview with Jones, it seems she's cool with keeping things casual.
"Marriage doesn’t really buy you anything. I mean, Chris Messina, who is my costar in [Monogamy] is with my very close friend [producer Jennifer Todd]," Jones told E! News at the time. "They’re not married, but they have two kids and they’re wildly happy. It doesn’t buy you anything. It just buys you a really big shitty pageant of a wedding to make other people happy."
A baby boy isn't the only aspect of life Jones has to celebrate. She made her directorial debut with Quincy, which recently premiered on Netflix. The documentary focuses on her legendary dad's life and career. As for their reported new bundle of joy, one thing is for sure: Their kid will have some serious bragging rights with Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton as his grandparents, Koenig as his dad, and Jones as his mother. Yeesh.
