Cardi B as Coretta Scott King is a wild and unexpected juxtaposition, and one you’ll see today as part of a skit from Wild ‘n Out star Rip Michaels’ new show Off the Rip.

Cardi plays the role of Martin Luther King Jr.’s wife for a sketch titled “Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement.” She and a few other women—including Rosa Parks, Jesse Jackson’s wife, Jacqueline Lavina Brown, Malcolm X’s wife, Betty Shabazz, a secret KKK spy, and even a woman called the “Iggy Azalea” of the Civil Rights Movement—get together to gab and spill tea while trying to plan a rally for MLK.

Throughout the skit, the ladies make a number of references to MLK’s notorious extramarital affairs, as well as his assassination in Memphis. As Coretta, Cardi remarks, “All these hussies wanna sleep with my huuusband!” while Shabazz calls MLK a ho, and even insinuates that she’s slept with him.

Earlier this week, Cardi performed for the first time since giving birth to her daughter Kulture, joining her husband onstage during the New York stop of the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour. If you thought motherhood would hinder Cardi's career then you're sadly mistaken. Aside from having another project in the works, she just won Best New Artist at the VMAs and is working on a new collab with Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, and Ozuna.
