Back in October 2017, Ewan McGregor separated from his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis, with whom he has four children. Shortly after, he was spotted with Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 33. He filed for divorce in January.
Today, McGregor's 22-year-old daughter Clara took to Instagram to publicly shade her dad’s girlfriend with a series of spicy comments. Per People, a fan account shared a photo of Winstead, and Clara commented: “Most beautiful and talented woman on earth??? Oh man y’all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash x.” One of many upset commenters called Clara “pathetic"; she responded with a simple “pathetic :)”
Clara is definitely on some very petty energy, although divorce is always hard, so it’s easy to have sympathy for what she’s going through. A quick look at her Instagram suggests she’s still on good terms with both of her parents, even recently posting a photo of the two of them at her college graduation.
In slightly related news, McGregor was recently cast in a sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s classic The Shining titled Doctor Sleep in which he’ll play an adult Danny Torrance. The movie is set to drop in 2020.
