DC Young Fly Says a Braces Joke Made Azealia Banks Cry on 'Wild 'n Out'

Azealia Banks called out Wild 'n Outearlier in July for making her cry on set. Now, DC Young Fly decided explained exactly what got Banks so upset.

During a taping of DC, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean’s The 85 South Show on July 21 in Miami, DC gave a bit more context.

“First of all, I didn’t know who she was,” DC said. The comedian then explained that she said "something about me about three or four times" during the taping before returning fire. "So I finally grabbed the mic. She had braces on her teeth but she didn’t have the wire on the braces, so I said, ‘You need to fire your dentist with his stupid ass 'cause he took the wire and told you to keep the metal.’”

He then explained that made her really upset. “She only had them on the bottom so I’m like what happened to the top motherfucker? That was it, and she just started crying,” he said as he doubled over in laughter. Here's the clip from the show (which was released in full on Friday) below:

However, Banks explained the incident a bit differently. On July 15, she took to Instagram to explain that she was invited to perform a song, rather than join the comedic rap battle. However, the show’s crew went out of their way to harass her.

“I did Wildin’ out today. There were tons of pre-planned colorist jokes and of course .... cry baby cried,” Banks wrote.

Nick Cannon later responded to Banks’ post. While he didn’t specify what happened that day, he did vaguely insinuate that Banks was the one stirring up trouble. "Don’t you hate when you create your own storms but forget your umbrella??" he wrote on Instagram.
