One of the busiest actors in Hollywood, Michael B. Jordan, can add another entry to his constantly expanding IMDB page as (according to Deadline) he will voice the main character, Julian Chase, in Rooster Teeth's animated sci-fi series gen:Lock.

"We are excited beyond belief to announce Michael B. Jordan as the voice of Julian Chase in gen:LOCK," said gen:LOCK creator and head of Rooster Teeth Animation, Gray G. Haddock.

Haddock later noted that Jordan's anime fandom drew him to the series.

For those unaware as to what gen:Lock even is, it takes place when earth's final free society finds itself on the losing end of a global war. A team of young pilots is recruited to control weaponized robots, and Jordan's character leaves his life as a fighter pilot to become the first candidate for the program.

The series will be exclusive to Rooster Teeth's streaming service, which has racked up more than 250,000 subscribers since launching in 2016. gen:Lock will also be co-produced by Jordan's production company, Outlier Society Productions.

A premiere date for the series is yet to be announced, but will likely occur sometime before the end of 2018.
