Deadpool Crashes Stephen Colbert's Monologue on 'The Late Show'

The superhero chimed in with a sarcastic response during Colbert's opening monologue.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters this Thursday night, which means we'll likely be seeing the charismatic superhero pop up in all corners of pop culture in the coming weeks.

On Tuesday night's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Deadpool walked out in the middle of Colbert's monologue as the host was listing all the 2018 superhero movies. Of course, he took the opportunity to chime in with a cheeky response of his own.

Deadpool 2is expected to dethrone another superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, and debut at No. 1 this weekend.

The sequel's North American ticket sales is expected to reach somewhere between $130 million and $150 million. If it hits the middle range of that prediction, the film will break its own record for the biggest domestic opener for an R-rated film. The first Deadpool movie pulled in more than $132 million during its 2016 opening weekend and went on to earn $783 million worldwide—becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history.

So, is the sequel any good? Judging from some spoiler-free reactions from people on Twitter who attended early screenings of the film, the answer is an emphatic yes. Read some early reviews below and see more here.

So, #DEADPOOL2 is the perfect sequel. Doubles down on everything that fans love about the original, and fixes some of that film's issues. Huge, huge laughs that play the audience like a fiddle. @VancityReynolds destroys as Wade. Great action, fantastic comic nods. A killer ride! pic.twitter.com/KaM8gUT2Jf

I liked DEADPOOL 2 more than the first one (which I wasn’t a huge fan of). Slow to start but all the stuff with X-Force and Cable (and Peter!) works surprisingly well.

I didn't like the first Deadpool. DEADPOOL 2 beat me into submission until I was actually enjoying myself. Also it features my now favorite post credit scene.
