This A-List Actor Makes a Surprise Cameo in ‘Deadpool 2’

There's one more character on the X-Force team.

When Deadpool assembles the X-Force, he enlists Domino, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Zeitgeist, Peter, and an invisible man known as the Vanisher to rescue a mutant teen, Russell Collins, from being killed by Cable.

But little did we know, the Vanisher, who's invisible and silent throughout the film except for one brief moment, would end up being played by an A-list actor.

(Here's where the spoilers for Deadpool 2 begin.)

For one second, the Vanisher's body is seen and it's none other than Brad Pitt.

It has yet to be revealed how Pitt came into his first superhero role, but last year, Collider reported Pitt was originally in the running to play Cable. Although "there was interest on both sides," the role ultimately went to Josh Brolin. But viewers will still get to see Pitt's face in the surprise moment about halfway through the film.

You see, Deadpool isn't exactly best planner. Despite "high winds," which should have deterred the team's plans of skydiving onto their target, they go through with the plan to do just that. It doesn't end well as just about every member dies in gruesome ways—including the Vanisher who gets electrocuted by a power line. This leads to a brief moment in which his invisibility powers are deactivated to reveal Pitt's face.

Pitt isn't the only surprise in the sequel. The famed Marvel antagonist, Juggernaut, also makes a major appearance while the end credit scenes show Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds IRL.

Deadpool 2 is now out in theaters.
