If there’s one thing we’ve all come to expect from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, it’s drama. However, on Sunday’s reunion episode, Kim Zolciak-Biermann dialed it up a notch or ten by going on a rant about racism not being real, claiming that it’s inflated by social media.
It all started with a comment Zolciak-Biermann previously made about NeNe Leakes, saying her co-star was “sick and disgusting” for living in a “roach nest.” Zolciak-Biermann was called out for the racist subtext of such a comment, as it can allude to the living conditions of impoverished black women in the projects. Zolciak-Biermann said any claims of racism were “reaching” and that a “roach is a roach.” Meanwhile, the ladies laid into her pretty hard during the reunion. Zolciak-Biermann kept it together, but she later broke down to host Andy Cohen.
Zoliack-Biermann told Cohen “That bitch knows I’m not racist.” She also claimed the show couldn’t find another white female cast member “because nobody is dumb enough to do that!” But if that rather tone-deaf remark wasn't bad enough, Zolciak-Biermann went on to say, “This whole racism thing in this day in age is bullshit. Everyone of those motherfuckers on that couch owe this world a fucking apology for this racism shit.” And furthermore, “They already tried to claim that shit long ago. Nobody bought into it then because the social media wasn’t there and racism wasn’t fucking all that real. You know it.” Nah, girl. We don’t and neither was Andy Cohen, who didn’t want to hear any of Zolciak-Biermann’s claims that the show painted her in a negative light. As Cohen told her, “There was nothing positive, unfortunately, in your story from the season.”
