Though John Krasinski and Emily Blunt got married eight years ago and have two daughters together, it seems like some people are still unaware the two are together. During a weekend when Krasinski was visiting Blunt in London, where she was filming Mary Poppins Returns, a customs agent was being a little nosy about the couples' lives.
After the agent asked if he would recognize Krasinski from anything—to which Krasinski replied The Office and the agent seemed rather displeased—the agent then asked who Krasinski was visiting. “I said, ‘My wife.’ And he says, ‘Is she an actress?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Would I know her?’ I went, ‘I don’t know, man. Her name’s Emily Blunt.’”
The Man Who Was Jim went on, telling Jimmy Fallon: “He goes like this, he goes, 'You?' And I went, 'Yeah,' and he goes, 'You? You married Emily Blunt?’ And I go, ‘Yeah.’ And he goes like this, ‘Okay go. Just go.’ Like the stamp was so hard. I was like, ‘I’m so sorry.’”
Blunt and Krasinski are starring alongside each other as a married couple in the new Krasinski-directed horror film A Quiet Place, opening April 6.
