Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther was a global box office success which not only broke records but also satisfied film critics across the board. Marvel’s Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, has been making cheering fans happy wherever he goes, throwing up the “Wakanda Forever” salute as a celebration of the first afro-centric Marvel film doing so well on all possible fronts.
Of course, public appearances and movie promotion can get tiring—even for someone as in shape as Boseman—which has given Twitter a chance to pounce on the actor in a hilarious series of tweets pointing out how weary he looks when bigging up Wakanda these days.
According to Blavity, Boseman attended the Avengers: Infinity War premiere in Hollywood on Monday to support Marvel Cinematic Universe peers Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Tom Holland. One particular photo taken on the red carpet shows an expressionless Boseman tiredly throwing up the now famous salute—which was blood in the water to Twitter sharks online, who immediately started memeing the shot by contrasting it to a photo of Boseman at the Black Panther premiere in February.
