The internet has no chill, especially when it comes to to targeting celebrities for meme creation. The latest casualty turned out to be Jennifer Garner, who was seen seemingly coming to a unknown realization at the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
"What realization did Jennifer Garner just come to?" tweeted Jezebel writer Bobby Finger with a clip of Garner applauding then giving a face like she just remembered she might have left her stove on. The tweets since garnered (no pun intended) over 160,000 likes and at least 34,000 retweets as tweeters tried to guess what she was thinking about.
The 13 Going on 30 star took it all in stride, too, and even made a few jokes of her own. On Instagram Stories, Garner uploaded the video clip and provided her own voiceovers about what she could have been thinking about. And they're pretty hilarious.
"Congrats to Shape of Water. Maybe I should date a fish?" said Garner in the first clip of the three-part series, which can be found above. "Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, what's in your wallet? Wait, where is my wallet?" she said in the second. Garner, who's slated to star in Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner's HBO series, Camping, mentioned a possible issue that might come up in the future. "Can't wait to work with Lena Dunham. Wait, did I sign a nudity waiver?" said Garner in the final clip.
Now, we're basically sending Garner all of the crying laughing emojis.
