Trips to the hospital with your kids are usually scary for any parent, and Jumanji star the Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is no different. Johnson took to Instagram to thank the staff who helped him and his family when his two-year-old daughter Jasmine was hospitalized over the weekend, Page Six reports.
Johnson did not offer up any details about what exactly occurred that night, but it sounds like it may have been pretty serious. "Something happened to my family that I would never want to happen to any of you guys out there...we had something scary that happened with our little baby girl, Jasmine. She’s okay now, thank God."
He went on to express his immense gratitude for the doctors, nurses, paramedics, and hospital staff who helped that night. "I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who was involved, so caring, so compassionate, so responsive.”
Regardless of what went down, any parent can tell you just how terrifying it can be to seek medical attention for your child. The actor also thanked to 911 operator who "was extremely calm" and "walked [him] through some processes."
Anxiety in those moments are understandably high, and staying calm instead of panicking can sometimes be the difference between life or death. "To all you mommies and daddies out there, when emergencies like this happen, I just highly recommend that you stay as calm and focused as possible," he continued in the video. “Because our little babies, they energetically pick up what we’re putting out, especially in times of stress.”
Johnson and longtime girlfriend Laura Hashian are expecting another baby girl soon, so they'll definitely have their hands tied even more.
