While you were busy eating pizza and screaming at the TV when Gary Oldman won Best Actor during Sunday night's Oscars, songwriter Robert Lopez went ahead and snatched another Academy Award, making him the first-ever double-EGOT winner, according to Vulture.
Lopez first joined the exclusive EGOT club four years ago, when the then-39-year-old finally won an Oscar for the Frozen hit "Let it Go," making him the youngest person to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. And it only took him four years to do it all over again. Needless to say, people were stoked.
Lopez and his wife, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, won their Oscar for writing this year's Best Original Song , the spirited "Remember Me" from Disney’s animated film Coco. The Lopez's also collaborated on "Let it Go." Talk about #relationshipgoals. Lopez currently has two Oscars, two daytime Emmys (for Wonder Pets), three Grammys (for Book of Mormon, the Frozen soundtrack, and "Let It Go"), and three Tonys (two for Book of Mormon and one for Avenue Q).
Lopez will now be mentioned in the same rarified breath as Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Rita Moreno, and a handful of others.
