Michael B. Jordan Is a Certified Anime Fan

Michael B. Jordan responds to tweeter who criticized him for liking anime.

Michael B. Jordan loves anime and he isn't afraid to show it.

While taking on spicy chicken wings during Complex's Hot Ones, Jordan shared his love for the Japanese medium when the host Sean Evan asked him what's one book, anime, and video game he'd use to pass the time while stuck in a room (around the 18:15 mark). But it's Jordan's answer to the anime part—One-Punch Man—that's causing a stir. After that story about Jordan living with his parents, one tweeter couldn't help but try to clown the Black Panther actor.

First of All I’m 6ft and they live with ME, put some respeck on my name. LOL...aaaand goku & naruto are real ones 🙌🏾 lol https://t.co/QspyHD2zwH

Although Jordan wasn't tagged in the tweet, that didn't stop him from defending his name by clarifying his parents live with him while adding that Goku and Naruto are "real ones," referring to popular anime characters from Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, respectively.

Nah that was a softball for the anime uneducated 🤓

Then another tweeter called him out for liking "mainstream" series, but Jordan said he was just throwing out "softball" options for the "anime uneducated."

There you have it. Jordan is a certified anime fan.
