Valentine's Day is the perfect time to show your partner just how much you love them by buying an over-the-top gift, or a more cost-effective one like Vice President Mike Pence decided to do this year. But no matter what you decide, is the gift even legit if you don't flex it on the 'gram first?

Some of the biggest celebrities in the game shared all the things they received from their significant others and what they did for the holiday on social media. Cardi B, who is an avid lover of all things bling, showed off the gorgeous necklace and bracelet set her fiancé Offset gave her.

Kim Kardashian wished fans a Happy Valentine's Day with a video displaying her cute gifts from Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book: a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a mega-sized teddy bear. Kim's husband Kanye West made a surprise comeback to Instagram after nine months, and his first post was oh so sweet. It was a white card that read “Happy Valentines [sic] Day Babe." The aesthetic is totally on brand with Yeezy Season's signature minimalism.

Michelle Obama tugged at everyone's heartstrings when she shared a romantic Spotify playlist dedicated to Barack. The tracks ranged from classics by Stevie Wonder and Anita Baker to more timely tunes like Kendrick Lamar's "Love." Depending on the person, sometimes the creativity of the gift means way more than how many dollar signs are behind it.
