Louis C.K.'s animated series The Cops, originally greenlit by TBS, will never see the light of day. According to Deadline, production for the series was first suspended two months ago following news of the comedian's admitted history of sexual harassment, and it's now officially canceled.

The cartoon series centered on Al (voiced by Albert Brooks) and Lou (C.K.), two L.A. police officers whose best attempts to protect and serve don't always go smoothly. The network's decision to pump the breaks on the project didn't come as a surprise to any of the creatives involved. Reportedly, production offices had been closed and animators were laid off just before Thanksgiving. At the time of suspension, FX and FX Productions terminated C.K's affiliation with all four shows he was producing with the company (including The Cops), and also ended their contract with his production company, Pig Newton.

The cancellation of The Cops comes two months after The New York Times published a scathing exposé on C.K.'s history of sexual misconduct. Several women came forward to allege he had exposed and/or pleasured himself in front of them without consent—accusations that C.K. soon confessed to. "The power I had over these women is that they admired me," he said in a statement. "And I wielded that power irresponsibly. I have been remorseful of my actions. And I’ve tried to learn from them. And run from them. Now I’m aware of the extent of the impact of my actions."

Virtually every company that had deals in place with C.K. has cut ties with him—namely Netflix, HBO, and Universal Studios. The stand-up star also parted ways with his former management team and publicist.
