She's Gotta Have It will be back for a second season. Spike Lee, the creator of the Netflix show based on his 1986 film of the same name, shared the news alongside his wife Tonya Lewis Lee while wishing everyone a Happy New Year on Instagram. Tonya and Spike, as well as Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage, were executive producers on the show.

DeWanda Wise, who plays Nola Darling, also posted a video of her own as she prepares to get back on her grind. "Back ta werq," she wrote. "Season [2] is OFFICIAL!!! Can’t wait to return to BK. Congrats to aaallll us."

She's Gotta Have It centers around Darling, a Brooklyn artist, who juggles dating three men—Mars Blackmon, Jamie Overstreet, and Greer Childs—with three very different personalities and backstories at the same time.

According to Variety, the series has been picked up for an additional eight episodes. The Netflix series premiered on the streaming service on November 23.
