You're probably already tired of AWARDS SZN 2018, right? The news cycle has been going ham over Sunday's Golden Globes, with everything from Oprah apparently running for president to Kendall Jenner's acne. One thing no one is really talking about is the lack of superhero representation at these awards shows. I won't front: I'm surprised the Globes didn't nominate Patty Jenkins for best director. I'll never understand how an epic like Logan isn't up for something. I can't be alone (can I?), and wouldn't be surprised if this is why more superhero fans don't rock with awards shows. Well, fans of superhero movie fans and Sean Gunn.

Sean Gunn, who played Kraglin in his brother James Gunn's film Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, was recently approached by a rep from TMZ asking about his feels regarding superhero films not being represented at awards shows, and Sean kept it a buck.

"To be honest with you, I just don't really care that much about awards," Gunn said. "The idea of a bunch of adults dressing up to hand each other awards is a little silly. I think it's nice for the industry, it's nice to celebrate good work, but winning awards doesn't mean that you made a better piece of work than someone that doesn't win an award."

Gunn ends up saying that the love he receives from fans of the work he's done before is enough for him. However, he can’t say if we'll get a scene of Rocket Raccoon and Tony Stark going back and forth. No surprises there.
