Everyone remain calm, but it looks like some on-set photos from the filming of Avengers 4 in Atlanta have potentially spoiled a huge piece of what will go down in the battle against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. It's been previously speculated by many that someone is biting the dust in the new film, but these new photos of Chris Evans in his full Captain America gear might have confirmed the inevitable: The First Avenger is getting smoked in Infinity War.

The on-set photos would seem normal to any moviegoer; Captain America is on the set of the fourth film, so of course there's no way he could have died in the third one. However, the incredible population of superhero nerds can break down why that might not be the case.

In the above photograph, Evans is photographed in his original Captain America suit, which he has not worn since the first Avengers film. TMZ notes that it possibly means he could have been filming a flashback scene to be included in the storyline of the new movie and is not necessarily going to be alive alongside the rest of the squad in Avengers 4.

Evans' facial hair is also apparently a big giveaway. He sports a beard in the trailer for Infinity War, but he's clean shaven in these images, another indication that this could be a flashback sequence. This detail is a little less substantial because shaving off a beard takes literal minutes; maybe Cap just had a change of heart one morning about looking like a lumberjack.

Regardless, at least one fan was convinced Captain America will meet his end.

Others were a bit more skeptical, arguing that it could not be a flashback since Ant-Man—a fairly recent addition—is in the photo.

He’s in this scene with Ant-Man, Hulk, & Iron Man...when would this scene have happened pre- Infinity War?
So if he ditched it after the first Avengers movie how would Antman be in the "flashback"?

Maybe Iron Man could be the one pushing up daisies. Who knows? One thing is for sure, though: That final battle with Thanos is going to be...
