According to a weekly ranking from The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Hart is currently comedy's social media king. The ranking is based on data from across a wide range of digital platforms, namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, mixing engagement with statistics on followers and subscribers. Hart is in good company on the list, with comedians D.L. Hughley, Amy Schumer, and Trevor Noah also making the cut.
Though the list is updated weekly, it seems that Hart's place at the top has been consistent since June of last year, and Hughley's #2 ranking mostly secure for the past few months as well. Despite last year's personal dramas involving infidelity, Hart has remained consistently busy, preparing for his Irresponsible comedy tour, nabbing a headlining spot at this year's NBA All-Star Game and starring alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, a comedy remake of the 1995 original. The film even knocked Star Wars: The Last Jediout of the top spot at the box office the two weeks after it was released.
