Jordan Peele is having one of them good days. On Tuesday morning, the Academy Award nominations were announced. Among them were not one, not two, not even three—but four nominations for Peele's spectacularly horrific take on interracial dating, Get Out.

The nods are for Best Director (Peele), Best Actor (Daniel Kaluuya), Best Original Screenplay (Peele again), and the big winner-take-all, Best Picture.

Upon finding out that his film was so well-received by the Academy, Peele took to Twitter to share his overwhelming emotional response.

He also asked a question that illustrated how high he was flying, and of course, it kept with the theme of his film.

What’s the opposite of the Sunken Place?

His followers had some pretty good answers.

Definitely Wakanda.

Then, Peele got real. "I just spoke to Daniel," he tweeted. "You know when you're on the phone trying to disguise the sound of an ugly cry? I failed at that." Been there, man.

I just spoke to Daniel. You know when you’re on the phone trying to disguise the sound of an ugly cry? I failed at that.
Right now I’m just thinking about everyone who bought a ticket and told someone else to. You did this. Thank you. ✊🏾

Now, will the Oscars actually let Get Out pull off a win or two in a major category? We'll find out when the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted awards air on March 4. You can read additional nominations here.
