Caitlyn Jenner has finally admitted why the Kardashian family had to learn about her gender reassignment surgery from the press: she didn't trust them.

Caitlyn is set to appear onPiers Morgan’s Life Stories on Thursday night where she reveals that she actively chose to not inform the Kardashian Klan about her gender reassignment surgery because she "didn’t trust them" to not "leak it to the press."

"It's none of their businesses. I had already been living as Caitlyn for a year and a half, OK?" Caitlyn said. "I didn't want them to leak it to the press, OK? There was no reason for them to know about it, of course I didn't trust them."

While it's hard for any outsider to truly understand the family dynamics, what we do know is that the entire family has been able to keep quite a few secrets in the past year. Kim even drank a sardine smoothie in order to not have to answer James Corden's questions about her sister's rumored pregnancies (Khloé has since confirmed that she is pregnant, but Kylie remains silent.)

There was a lot of drama last year over the relationship between Caitlyn Jenner and the rest of the Kardashians. The relationship has been strained for years now, ever since Caitlyn came out as transgender and separated from ex-wife Kris Jenner. Nevertheless, on a 2017 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, things got way messier.

First, the episode (reportedly) showed the exact moment that Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney only found out that Caitlyn had gender reassignment surgery after reading about it themselves on the news. "Why couldn't she say that to us?" Kim said during the episode. "We would understand. She makes it, 'Woe is me, woe is me.'"

But there’s more. Kim alleges that while Caitlyn did give Kim a preview of her autobiography, The Secrets of My Life, before it was published, Kim’s version did not include two key parts of the book. The first was that Caitlyn had undergone gender reassignment surgery, and the second was a chapter that mentioned Robert Kardashian and the O.J. trial. According to Caitlyn’s book, Robert joined O.J.’s defense team already believing the former football player was guilty, and he did it in a twisted ploy to get back at Kris Jenner.

However, Morgan did ask Caitlyn whether she had indeed given Kim an abridged version of her autobiography. As a response, Caitlyn simply said “No.” Morgan clarified: “So you sent her the entire book?” Caitlyn replied: “Except for the last few pages when I talked about gender confirmation.”

“I don't talk to the Kardashians anymore,” Caitlyn admitted. “The only ones I am concerned about are Kendall and Kylie. They are my biological kids. I spent 23 years carting them around.”

But even Kendall has expressed displeasure with how the two families are treating each other nowadays.

Caitlyn has admitted this before, but the Kardashians have also previously announced on an episode of their E! reality show that they no longer have any contact with Caitlyn. No one from the Kardashian camp have responded to these latest statements by Caitlyn... yet.
