Earlier this week, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman visited Ellen to talk about how he feels like a mayor in certain situations, but heads really flipped their lid about this first clip from the film. The scene, which has been featured in parts in a number of Black Panther trailers, is one of the most captivating moments of the film, featuring the Black Panther doing a full flip in the air while an SUV is flipping on its own.

The clip, which you can see up above (props to Marvel for throwing it out there), finds the Black Panther being driven around in a whip that looks like no one is driving (because of his sister Shuri's dope tech). His suit is bulletproof, but what he doesn't realize is that, according to Shuri, his suit stores all of the bullets he deflected into kinetic energy, which he can then use. And he does... by dropping a massive kinetic blast to the SUV, which then starts flipping while he flips away from it mid-air. Insane.

Screerant posted about their visit to Wakanda the Black Panther set, in which Black Panther executive producer Nate Moore spoke about how tech is used in the film. "What we were very afraid of was making Wakanda almost too Kirby-esque and by that I mean making it feel almost like they’re alien and not human. The truth is they’re human. They’re just 20 or 25 years ahead of us. Having a city built on Vibranium allows them to have all these advances and have wealth beyond our wildest imaginings and that’s a big part of the movie."

Moore went on to say, "What’s interesting about Wakanda that we always found fascinating was it’s not only the most technically-advanced civilization in the world but it has a very strong ancestral history that was never eliminated in a way it has been in other places because they were never conquered." Sounds like it'll be both deeply technical and very spiritual.
