Russell Simmons’ lawyer is about to get even more busy. The mega-mogul and alleged sexual predator’s attorney, Michael T. Sterling, has been tapped by Tiffany Haddish’s ex to sue the comedian for defamation.

The Girls Trip breakout star recently released a memoir where she recounts how her ex-husband, William Stewart, physically abused her. Stewart has flatly denied the allegations, even though court documents prove Tiff took out a restraining order against the dude. Is masculinity so fragile, or what?

William went off to V-103, saying, “I married Tiffany, her issues, and not the Hollywood lifestyle. I have never beat or hit or called a woman a ‘MF or B’ while having a disagreement ever in my life. I never caused a miscarriage, I have documents to prove this."

"Tiffany advised me about a month ago about the book and she told me that I would be furious," William went on to say. Welp, that’s a promise that appears to have been true.

Radar got a hold of some legal documents wherein Tiff details how her husband abused her. “We were in Montreal, Canada, when he choked me in the stairway of the hotel. I ran away from him. I ran because he was trying to make me stay in the room. But I wanted to stay in the lobby and talk to my fellow comedians."

Sounds like some real Bobby and Whitney type shit. Why is it that behind every strong woman, there appears to be an (allegedly) abusive man?
