More than four years after it was announced, The Addams Family animated film has finally received a release date.

Deadline reports the MGM project is slated to hit theaters on Oct. 11, 2019, just in time for the Halloween season. Sausage Party director Conrad Vernon will helm the movie, and Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride, Monster House) will pen the script alongside Matt Lieberman. Though the cast has yet to be confirmed, Variety reports Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) is in talks to voice the family patriarch Gomez Addams. As of now, there is no word on other potential cast members.

Andrew Mittman and Kevin Miserocchi have signed on as executive producers, and MGM’s executive director Tabitha Shick will oversee the project.

The Addams Family was introduced in the 1930s as a dark cartoon series published in the New Yorker. It later hit the small screen throughout the 1960s and ’70s, before it was adapted into three live-action films: The Addams Family (1991), Addams Family Values (1993), and Addams Family Reunion (1998).
