After owning the social media conversation during the season 2 run of Insecure, it looks like HBO is ready to give Issa Rae the reins to even more programming blocks. Deadline is reporting that the cable network is developing two new series from Rae, a comedy and a drama.

First up is Him or Her, which, as the title suggests, is a half-hour about a bisexual man finding his way through the complex relationships with men and women that he keeps. This is being developed with Travon Free, an Emmy-winning former Daily Show writer.

The other series is Sweet Life, which is set in Windsor Hills (aka Black Beverly Hills) and is a coming-of-age story about the teens in that neighborhood. Sweet Life is a one-hour drama that Rae is executive producing alongside Scandal producer Raamla Mohamed.

These projects are a part of Rae's first-look deal with HBO that was inked in 2016, which also includes the show she's working on with Angela Flournoy about a black family living in 1990s Los Angeles. Add that to Issa landing a role in the upcoming film The Hate U Give and working on the third season of Insecure, and her days are no doubt full. What a time to be an Issa Rae fan.
