Awards season is upon us, and Get Out got off to a good start after getting named Best Picture by the Online Film Critics Society, Deadline reports. Aside from Get Out being named Best Picture, Jordan Peele also won for Best Original Screenplay. 

Looking down the road, Get Out has already been nominated for a plethora of awards including: Best Motion Picture for a Musical or Comedy from the Golden Globes and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture from the Screen Actors Guild Awards. For both award shows, Daniel Kaluuya was nominated as a lead actor for his role as Chris Washington.

Other winners at the Online Film Critics Society included Gary Oldman in Darkest Hour for Best Actor, Sally Hawkins in The Shape of Water for Best Actress, and Christopher Nolan in Dunkirk for Best Director.
