SNL wraps up their final episode of 2017 with one more Christmas-themed cold open.

Last weekend, Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon dressed up as Santa Claus and an elf for a skit in a mall. Kids would tell them their requests for presents and a lot were very normal. But then, they would go into political topics like sexual harassment scandals, a proposed tax bill, Nazis, and more. There were things that mostly grown-ups talk about, but it was funny to hear from kids who clearly pay attention to the news.

Tonight, SNL delivers a message from the White House. Alec Baldwin returns as Donald Trump to wish Americans a happy holidays. Along with Mike Pence, Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump (who was played by Scarlett Johansson), Trump's administration bring ornaments to decorate "the tree of shame." Ornaments with the faces of James Comey, Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci, Mike Flynn, Roy Moore, and others are hanged on the tree.

Jeff Sessions makes a cameo as the "elf on the shelve" who wanted to do the honors of hanging an angel on top of the tree, which happened to be Robert Mueller. You can watch it above.
