While the world has been so wrapped up in the directorial shenanigans of the still-untitled Han Solo film and Episode IX, it feels like it's been forever since we got word on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 15. With the film's rapidly approaching release date we've been blessed with a new trailer, which dropped during halftime of tonight's Vikings-Bears game.

Picking up where The Force Awakens left off, The Last Jedi finds Rey linking up with the legend Luke Skywalker to fulfill her destiny.

Though the urge to watch the trailer as quick as humanely possible may wash over you, you might want to heed the words of director Rian Johnson. The director of the The Last Jedi took to Twitter to warn fans that if they "want to come in clean" they should "absolutely avoid" the trailer.

An official poster for the upcoming film was also released earlier in the day.

Coinciding with the drop of the trailer and official poster, The Verge is reporting tickets for The Last Jedi are now available for purchase from Showcase Cinemas. Check out the full Last Jedi trailer up top.
