Comedian Ralphie May has reportedly died at age 45. According to TMZ, May had been "battling pneumonia" for the past six weeks, but kept performing his scheduled gigs in Las Vegas; he last performed at the Vegas Harrah's location on Thursday night.

May died of cardiac arrest at a private residence in Las Vegas Friday morning. TMZ reports that someone in the residence discovered his body, per May's rep.

May's appearance on The Big Black Comedy Show, Vol. 2 in 2005 was one of his most memorable sets. It has nearly 5 million views on YouTube. You can watch it below.

May first rose to fame in 2003, when he came in second place on the Comedy Central competition show Last Comic Standing. After that, he popped up often on Comedy Central and later Netflix with a series of standup specials, like 2015's Unruly. He eventually embarked on a nationwide tour, which TMZ says was "almost nonstop."

May is survived by his wife, comedian Lahna Turner, who filed for divorce from May before his death, and their two children, April June May and August James May.
