Jada Pinkett-Smith is an actress, wife, mother, producer and director. According to Leah Remini, Pinkett-Smith is also a devout Scientologist. Remini herself was a Scientologist, but has since left the controversial religion and taken up the cause of exposing what she believes are its perceived dangers. While Remini garnered an Emmy for her documentary Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, a recent interview with The Daily Beast makes some interesting accusations about Smith.

“I know Jada’s in,” Remini said. “I know Jada’s in. “She’s been in Scientology a long time. I never saw Will [Smith] there, but I saw Jada at the Celebrity Centre. They opened up a Scientology school, and have since closed it. But Jada, I had seen her at the Scientology Celebrity Centre all the time.”

The comments come after a passage from her 2015 memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, where Remini claimed Tom Cruise tried to goad her into a game of hide-and-seek. It’s unclear if that particular passage originally mentioned Will and Jada being present, but Remini indicated the Smiths were on hand while talking with The Daily Beast.

Scientology rumors have followed Will Smith, largely based on his friendship with Tom Cruise. Ties to the since-closed New Village Leadership Academy and a 2009 ABC report claiming the Smiths gave a combined $122,500 in donations to groups connected to the Church of Scientology gave the rumors further fuel.

Will Smith shut down claims he was a Scientologist in 2008 during an interview with the New York Daily News.

“You don't have to be a Scientologist to be a friend of Tom Cruise,” Smith said. “I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths.”

Jada Pinkett-Smith has shown a tendency to spill some proverbial tea if needed, with her thoughts on the recent Tupac biopic serving as the latest case. Should she choose to respond to Remini’s claims, the result could be a rather epic clap back.
