Vince Staples' Review of 2Pac Biopic 'All Eyez on Me' Is the Only One You Need

Vince Staples gives his take on the 2Pac biopic 'All Eyez on Me.'

Benny Boom's 2Pac biopic All Eyez on Me beat box office estimates this weekend with an estimated $27 million, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and those close to the real-life subject matter. The film's release quickly inspired the "I left when Pac" meme, which saw those disappointed with the film's inaccuracies cracking absurdist jokes about modern must-haves like iPhones and Yeezys.

Sunday, Vince Staples shared his thoughts on All Eyez on Me. In hilarious fashion, Staples made note of a certain Steelers hat and remarked on the main character's Call of Duty-style shooting stance. Check out Staples' tweeted thoughts below.

Among the more prominent criticism of All Eyez on Me is a series of tweets from Jada Pinkett Smith Friday in which the film's portrayal of her and 2Pac's relationship was described as "hurtful." Smith called the film a "reimagining" and specifically called out multiple scenes for apparent inaccuracies. "Forgive me... my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth," she said.

But not everyone has been disappointed with Boom’s film. The Game, for example, had some harsh words for critics over the weekend. "Go see it, tell a friend," he said on Instagram. "I love the movie & ANYBODY with a negative review of this film or anything bad to say about PAC….. I'm gone say it since he can't….. FUCK YOU"
