Trevor Noah Inserts Jaden Smith Into Republicans' All-Night Trumpcare Absurdity

Trevor Noah spins some classic Jaden Smith footage to help alleviate the pains of Trumpcare.

Question: What's "as popular as" Ted Cruz at an orgy? According to Trevor Noah, there's only one answer: Republicans' new health care plan. Noah joined fellow late-night voices in humorously expressing disbelief at the ins and outs of Trumpcare Thursday, ingeniously editing some C-SPAN footage to include a shocked Jaden Smith.

"If you really wanted to do something that you didn't want anyone to see what you were doing, where and when would you do it?" Noah asked the Daily Show audience. C-SPAN at 4ish in the morning, of course, is a fitting response. "Why the rush?" Noah wondered. "No one has ever made a good decision at 4:30 a.m." Noah then played a clip of Missouri congressman Jason Smith, who was also mocked on last night's Late Show by Stephen Colbert:

"You know there's a lot of taxes out there," Rep. Smith said during the televised fuckery. "But you could tax a lot of different items if you wanna stop behavior. You know, I love ice cream. Ice cream's probably not the most healthy thing to eat. Why is there not a tax on that? You know what, if you look at the number one cause of skin cancer, it's not tanning beds. Do a Google search. It's the sun." Of course! Tax the fucking sun! Can't believe we haven't thought of that before.

Noah then spliced in some footage from Jaden Smith's recent Vanity Fair collab, allowing the ice cream-loving congressman's comments to be met with a feigned blown mind.

During a CNN town hall event earlier this week, Noah took aim at Trump's aversion to presidential behavior. "I watch Trump through a different filter," Noah toldMessy Truth host Van Jones Wednesday. "When I see Trump, I see a stand-up comedian."
