It’s been less than 10 years since Airbnb first started out in a San Francisco bedroom. Since then, it’s spread out across the world and people are able to find somewhere to stay in pretty much every city you can think of visiting. After dominating that side of the market, Airbnb are now starting to offer experiences and help you organise more of your holiday.
The new ‘Trips’ feature puts you in touch with people offering a bespoke experience during your holiday. Everything on offer through Trips has been thought of by people who have an interest or a passion in one particular area of the city you’re visiting. This new feature works in pretty much the same way as the rest of Airbnb, you’re connected to a host in the new city and the host and the experience they've come up with can both be rated in the same way that a flat or a house can be.
