When the results of the United Kingdom's Brexit vote shocked the world in June, the opposition banded together by rocking safety pins as a symbol of support for those most impacted by the decision. Safety pin unity, as shown across social media, has now spread to the United States in light of Tuesday's Electoral College decision. Even the team behind next month's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are making sure fans know where they stand:

Rogue One writer Chris Weitz first shared the image, showing the Rebel symbol adorned with a safety pin Friday morning. Fellow Rogue One writer Gary Whitta joined shortly after, with both telling fans to spread the gesture across social media. OG Star Wars dude Mark Hamill then blessed it all with a retweet:​
