The first season of The Man in the High Castle was praised by both critics and audiences for its captivating plot set in a post-WWII dystopia. And now, with about two months before the premiere of its second season, Amazon has presented an extended look at what’s to come.

The first official trailer for season 2 was revealed during a New York Comic-Con panel Saturday, when the show’s creators and stars discussed where the Emmy award-winning series was headed. The sneak peek suggests new storylines involving political asylum, resistance, secrets, and changing loyalties will be the thrust of the new season. For example, we see Julianna Crane, played by Alexa Davalos, being interrogated by the American Reich, which eventually grants her asylum from the Pacific States of America. Davalos told the Comic-Con crowd that her character will undergo big changes in the second season: “She’s forced to be a chameleon to survive,” she explained.

It appears the second season, which premieres Dec. 16 on Amazon, will be just as gripping as the first. While you countdown the days for its return, you can take a look at the new season’s trailer above.
