No surprises here. A video of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump body-shaming a pregnant Kim Kardashian has resurfaced, adding another incident to Trump's long record of insulting and degrading women. The clip, which Cosmopolitan dates to sometime in 2013, features Trump discussing Kardashian's decision to go the baby registry route while pregnant with her and Kanye West's first child together, North.
"She's gotten a little bit large,' Trump, then known as that guy from The Apprentice, said during the HLN interview. "I will say this, I don't think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds." After being interrupted in Kardashian's defense, Trump backed away from the "a little bit large" comment. "I think that's great," Trump said. "If she feels good about herself, do it, Kim."
Trump's most recent act of disparaging women involved his mid-debate revival of his decade-strong feud with Rosie O'Donnell. When pressed during the debate with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton about his history of derogatory remarks, Trump asserted that O'Donnell "deserved" treatment of that nature. "Nobody feels sorry for her," Trump said during the live broadcast.
Following a batch of headlines last week that suggested she was "on the fence" regarding her vote this November, Kim Kardashian clarified that she is still very much a Hillary Clinton supporter. "I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary," Kardashian wrote in a statement on her official website Saturday. "I'm with her. I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job. This year, I'm not just voting for myself, but also for my children, and I took that into careful consideration when I made my decision."
