A Hollywood cover-up surrounding the alleged "kingpin" of a secret child sex ring is about to be exposed in a big way, according toRadar Online. Following a "gut-wrenching" investigation that lasted four years, the publication claimed Monday that those close with the late Corey Haim are threatening to reveal the identity of the alleged pedophile cited as "one of the most recognizable faces" in the entertainment industry.

"This dirty little secret is an open secret among so many in the biz," an insider toldRadar Monday. Another source noted that the unnamed celebrity had once allegedly sexually assaulted Haim after getting him high, initiating a series of events that some say troubled the actor for the rest of his life. "He fooled him," the source said. "Corey was vulnerable, and he fell for this person. He believed, like so many victims, that he was 'in love' with his abuser. He was so confused by the sexual encounter and believed it was love."

Radar claims to have spoken at length with "dozens" of sources and insiders, discovering the "family-man" vibes behind the household name's brand were just a facade built to hide decades of abuse. "Corey Haim didn't name his abuser in public because he was—and still is—so powerful that he feared he would ruin his career," an insider said. However, prior to his death, sources allege that Haim confided in friends and family and revealed the identity of his abuser.

In fact, one of Haim's closest friends is reportedly prepping to reveal everything in an effort to urge the state of California to pass new legislation regarding the statute of limitations for underage sexual abuse victims. "This individual should be quaking in his boots," a source toldRadar. "Their life is about to come crashing down."

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter in May, Haim's friend Corey Feldman said they were both raped "by a producer" when they were 11. "If somebody came forward with a suit against one of these people [who molested me], I would certainly be more than happy to back them up," Feldman said at the time. "But that hasn't happened." When asked if any of these people were still active in the industry, Feldman said that one of them remains "prominently in the business today."
