It was a big day for Marvel fans when Mike Colter announced the release date for Netflix’s new superhero series Luke Cage, in which he stars as the titular character. Since then, we’ve seen a handful of action-packed trailers that have given us a better grasp of what direction the show is taking. But, most all, they’re just making us wish Sept. 30 was already here.
In one of the teasers, we see a shot of a hand breaking on Luke’s face. It's a shot which is, for a lack of a better word, epic. On Wednesday, Netflix blessed fans with another sneak peek that just so happened to be the full fist-breaking scene. You can see it above in all of its bone-shattering glory.
Luke Cage is the third Defender series, after Jessica Jones and Daredevil. All 13 episodes of Cage's adventures will drop Sept. 30 on Netflix. In addition to Colter, the show will feature Theo Rossi as “Shades” Alvarez, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Erik LaRay Harvey as Diamondback, and Simone Missick as Misty Knight.
