Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has enjoyed one hell of a year. Though the bulk of Rock-related talk has recently centered on his "candy ass" feud with Fast 8 co-star Vin Diesel, we can now hit pause on that for just a moment and celebrate the fact that dude just landed at the top of Forbes' annual ranking of the highest-paid actors in the world. For added fun, the alleged "candy ass" at the heart of that Fast 8WrestleMania performance art piece also makes an appearance.

Not only did Johnson's $64.5 million in earnings between June 2015 and June 2016 give the Central Intelligence star the top spot, it also earned him the distinction of being this year's biggest gainer, more than doubling his earnings from the previous year. Johnson's victory was hinted at back in July when Forbes released its separate "highest-paid celebrities" list. "Greatness is never achieved alone," Johnson said at the time. "Surround yourself with hungry, brilliant individuals who not only buy into your philosophy, but who are all willing to work just as hard as you."

Alleged "candy ass" Vin Diesel also pops up on the list with a commendable $35 million, good enough to place above Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., and massively popular Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. Elsewhere, list regulars Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp bagged $53 million and $48 million, respectively, while living legend Jackie Chan just barely fell short of Johnson's haul to land in second place.
