Step aside, James Bond. Star Wars: Episode VIII has an even cooler cameo afoot. Following The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams' lead, Episode VIII boss Rian Johnson is apparently planning to hide a bunch of famous people behind stormtrooper costumes just to mess with us. The rumored Episode VIII victim of this shameless stormtrooper tactic? Tom Hardy.

The Mad Max: Fury Road star is reportedly set to make his Star Wars debut with "a small sequence," at least according to the spoiler-loving minds over at Making Star Wars. Enjoy knowing things before they happen, thus stripping them of their wow factor? Then ignore this SPOILER ALERT and proceed.

Hardy is believed to play a First Order stormtrooper who recognizes Finn (John Boyega) in the middle of a secret mission, only to give him a playful pat on the ass before letting him off. For more earthbound fare, Hardy is currently teasing everyone with what may become his most Hardy creation yet. Taboo, an FX miniseries counting Ridley Scott in its executive producer ranks, unveiled its first trailer back in February. Given that the 2017 series regularly tasks Hardy with saying things like "I am a very dangerous man to know," it's obviously one to watch:
