"I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him, "she said, according to court documents.

She cited an incident after her birthday celebration in April, in which Depp allegedly "grabbed me by the hair and violently shoved me to the floor." Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are reportedly getting a divorce. According toTMZ, 30-year-old Heard is the one who filed for divorce Monday citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple had been married for 15 months. TMZ also reported the documents say the couple separated on May 22, two days after Depp's mother Betty Sue Palmer died. Depp, 52, is said to have been close to his mother making the timing of all of these events a tough pill to swallow.

Sources told TMZ the couple does not have a pre-nup and that Heard is seeking spousal support in the divorce.

Heard and Depp met on the set of The Rum Diary before they eventually began dating in 2012. The two got engaged in 2014 and then got married in February of last year.

Amid rumors of her and Depp splitting up, Heard told Marie Claire in a December interview, "I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives, but it is strange, and hard."

Depp and Heard's split joins the ruins of other couples that have so far gone their separate ways in 2016: Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Kylie Jenner and Tyga.

The couple was last seen in April delivering a painfully awkward apology to Australia after they were discovered to have smuggled their dogs "Pistol" and "Boo" into the country. There's no word on who'll get custody of the dogs.

Representatives for Depp and Heard didn't immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.
