Step aside Idris Elba, Damian Lewis, David Oyelowo, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hiddleston, and about 100 other people whose names have been floated as the possible replacement for Daniel Craig when he steps down from playing James Bond. That's reportedly going to happen despite the studio throwing insane amounts of money at him to stay in the role.

The Internet now says that it wants X-Files star Gillian Anderson in the role as the British secret agent with a license to kill and a tailored suit for every occasion. A #nextbond campaign to make Anderson the future 007 was spreading on Twitter over the weekend, and Anderson herself finally responded to it by tweeting out a fan-made poster that imagines the possibility of Jane Bond.

It's Bond. Jane Bond.
Thanks for all the votes! (And sorry, don't know who made poster but I love it!) #NextBond pic.twitter.com/f8GC4ZuFgL

Is it a crazy idea? Well, some people thought that the idea of a black James Bond wasn't right at first either, but everyone seems to have come around on the idea of Elba stepping into those shoes (which definitely have some sort of exploding gadget in the sole). Why not a woman? Netflix has definitely proven, as we already knew, that a woman can kick ass in an action franchise. Krysten Ritter is killing it on Jessica Jones

Also, if this does happen, maybe we can get David Duchovny to play Miss Moneypenny!

The next Bond movie, the 25th in the series, doesn't have a title or a release date yet, but with the last four Bond movies bringing in more than $3 billion worldwide, it's definitely happening at some point with, or without, Daniel Craig.
