Just how far can an unlikely viral smash take you? If the increasingly envious story of renown Chewbacca mask wearer Candace Payne is any indication, instant viral fame can take you all the way to James Corden's Late Late Show. But televised hangs with Corden and company isn't all this enthusiastic Chewie fan got out of her proper late-night debut:

That is indeed Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, casually dropping in on Corden and Payne to join the Chewie-related shenanigans. "I gotta disagree," Abrams told Corden after the Late Late Show attempted to criticize Payne's modified Chewie growl. "I think it's an excellent Chewbacca." To be fair, dude should know his Chewbacca sounds by now.

"It is crazy," Payne told Corden of the fact that her video amassed more than 140 million views in just three days. "You know I'm quite an athletic so I feel like if I broke a record I need a medal or something, or at least I need to sing 'We Are the Champions' everywhere that I go."

To make Payne's life even more enviable, Corden also surprised her with the news that the real Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew, had reserved VIP passes for Payne and her fam for a private hang at the Dallas Fan Expo in June.

Want to score a dope AF Chewie mask of your own? Good luck with that.
