It’s only natural to ponder the possibilities of time travel. Human beings have been mulling that one for centuries. And not just stoned human beings—although it’s basically more or less scientific fact that all the best ideas, particularly the best time travel ideas, have come from minds that were thoroughly baked.
On 4/20/16 (that’s TODAY), all of that philosophical brain energy and all that ganj will be distilled into one momentous occasion: The premiere of Comedy Central’s three-part mini-series, Time Traveling Bong.
Created by Broad City’s Ilana Glazer, Paul W. Downs, and Lucia Aniello, Time Traveling Bong follows what happens when two underachieving cousins, trapped in dead-end lives in the New Jersey suburbs, discover a bong that sends anyone who smokes from it on a trip through time. The cousins, played by Glazer and Downs, think they’re in for a dank old time but when the bong breaks and they can no longer control where it takes them, they’re forced to make the best of some very dicey—and very hilarious—situations.
