We're still over a month way until we get to see X-Men: Apocalypse, but that doesn't mean people aren't already interested in what's coming next. One of the most exciting elements of Bryan Singer's latest film is the addition of Game of Thrones's Sophie Turner to the cast. Turner plays Jean Grey, a powerful mutant who is afraid of her telekinesis. If you're a fan of the previous X-Men films, the ones that take place in the present, you know things don't exactly end well for Grey. But this reboot offers new opportunities for the character, ones that are undoubtedly inspiring rumors about the future of the films.

For one, producer Simon Kinberg told IGN that there's pretty much a clean slate so we could really get any story told differently. "I think everything that hasn’t been told from First Class and Days of Future Past is up for grabs going forward, so it would absolutely be a story we could tell in a different way," he said

Given this, Heroic Hollywood did a little investigating and has reason to believe that the next X-Men film could be about Jean Grey, particularly about the Dark Phoenix, a super dangerous and unstable version of Grey that is a result from a secondary mutation. While this is still just a rumor, it would be an interesting direction to take things. Also, if Turner is down, it's sure to be good.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be in theaters May 27.
