Batman v Superman is almost two weeks away (15 days away to be exact). Fans have been bombarded with countless amounts of teasers, trailers, you name it, showing Superman wrecking Batman's car with a flick of his cape and Superman realizing maybe he underestimated Batman in the final trailer. And lest we forget, fans have gotten a look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in action. You'd think by this point there isn’t any secrets left—it was also revealed Batfleck wrote the script in full costume—but there are. One of the things Warner Bros. was trying to keep under wraps was Jena Malone's character in BvS, but the studio accidentally let that slip out in a fan survey.

Malone is best known for her role as one of the tributes Katniss Everdeen competes against in The Hunger Games. Warner Bros. recently confirmed Malone's role had been cut from the theatrical release, but would be included in the Blu-Ray and DVD. No mention of what Malone's role was was made though there were rumors she’d be playing Barbara Gordon (more on this in a moment).

ScreenCrush reports the studio’s flub happened in a survey that asks fans what Batman v Superman characters they’d like to see marketed more. A fan posted a screenshot of the survey on Reddit. The list runs down several character names before reaching “Jena Malone as Barbara Gordon.”

If you, like me, are not up on Batman's history, ScreenCrush explains Barbara Gordon is Commissioner Gordon's daughter. (Cool, got it.) And she goes on to become Batgirl. (Ohhh). In an interview with Entertainment Weekly BvS director Zack Snyder blatantly said Malone would not be Batgirl when asked what role Malone would be playing. "I think we should keep it private, but it's nothing that's been talked about," said Snyder. "She's definitely not Robin or Batgirl. I'm happy to say that."

Academy Award-winning J.K. Simmons was recently announced to play Commissioner Gordon in Justice League, which will begin shooting a couple of weeks after BvS premieres.

Batman v Superman hits theaters March 25.
