In age where most of our favourite childhood/teenage video games are collecting dust, the ever growing need for a new Crash Bandicoot game just seems to intensify. But now we may be closer to a new game featuring Sony's (once) favorite marsupial more than ever.
Thanks to a mysterious tweet from PlayStation's official Twitter account in the Middle East that read: "Most Wanted person... Where are you Crash?" the likelihood of a new Crash Bandicoot game seems so much more real. There hasn't been a proper Crash Bandicoot game on a home console since Crash: Mind Over Mutant back in 2008. Once heralded as the Sony PlayStation's mascot in 1996, the Crash series enjoyed a lot of early success, but series definitely fell off after the first three installments (particularly after original developers Naughty Dog — who went on to make The Last of Us and Uncharted — past the franchise on to other hands).
But with this 'possible' revelation it seems like Sony has a reinvested interest again in him again. Crash Bandicoot is now owned by Activision, which could throw a spanner (or a wumpa fruit) in the works, but we're holding out hope.
